LIQUID GLASS RESIN EPOXY

€22,00

Liquid glass epoxy resin 2 component

It is a transparent epoxy resin that is used to produce a hard clear and transparent surface to a selection of objects

Uses:

Surface of tables, embedding of objects like buttons, coins, shells, pebbles

Surface covering of coasters, photos, artwork, drawings

For better results suggested temperatures are around 20C and humidity less than 70%

Do not use when temperatures are less than 15C because the setting will be greatly delayed

The application surface must be as clean and stable as possible especially when natural materials are used like wood, cork, concrete that contain a lot of moisture.

Any materials that will be introduced into the resin like leaves and coins must be very dry, in case they are porous like wood they must first be coated with a thin layer of liquid glass before embedding and the resin left to harden completely.

The resin needs 2-3 days to harden completely, depending on the temperature, usually in 24 hours it can be handled and is completely hard in 48 hours. Protect the surface from dirt and dust and humidity.

Mixing ratio 2:1

The resin must be mixed with the hardener at a rate of 2 resin to 1 hardener, it is important to measure the relative amounts accurately. Do not add more hardener to speed uo the hardening time, the wrong ratio will result in partial hardening only. Weigh the correct quantity of resin and hardener in a tub with a flat bottom and mix with a wooden rod. Mix well for at least 3 minutes taking care not to leave material on the bottom or the sides of the container unmixed. From the moment that the resin and the hardener are mixed you have 60 minutes working time before the mixture starts to thicken and can no longer be spread on the surface or added into a mold.
